Healthier Oregon Plan (HOP) transition
-
In January 2027, federal changes mean all Healthier Oregon OHP members will move to OHP Open Card. Oregon provides full OHP benefits regardless of immigration status through a program called Healthier Oregon. Unlike in other states, people in Oregon will not lose OHP due to immigration status.
-
Members will still have complete and free OHP benefits.
You can also still get:
Written materials in other formats or languages other than English.
Free interpreters, including ASL at your appointments
Care Coordination if you have complex health needs.
OHP members must still renew and provide income information to maintain coverage.
-
Open Card doesn’t offer flexible services. Flexible services are not part of the standard OHP benefits and are only available to CCO members. Some members can still get these from the HRSN program.
