Health Share leads in COVID vaccination rates amongst CCOs

Health Share of Oregon has convened regional partners across health care, public health, pharmacy, emergency systems, and community partners to continue to increase COVID vaccination rates.  Using data and collaboration with key partners, we have done extensive outreach and planning to ensure all members, and especially those at the highest risk of negative impacts of COVID are able to access vaccinations. Currently, we are doing a lot of work to make sure those who need boosters (such as those who are immunocompromised or have cancer) are getting vaccinated. In fact, Health Share has the highest COVID vaccination rate amongst all the CCOs.

Health Share has also convened conversations to expand access to monoclonal antibodies (used for the treatment of COVID and post-exposure prophylaxis) across the region.  Monoclonal antibodies are an important tool for those who have COVID, are at high risk of being hospitalized with severe disease, and are within 10 days of developing symptoms.  Expanding access to monoclonal antibodies can help prevent people from needing hospitalization.  This is an important therapy on top of our ongoing high priority of COVID vaccination.
